If you click Save, you’ll get nothing more than a Windows Live Movie Maker project, and you can’t do too much with it. Rotating it is as easy as Clicking Rotate Left or Rotate Right in the toolbar at the top, under the Home tab, until the clip is in the desired position. Launch Movie Maker and add your Movie by Clicking Add Videos and Photos and Select the video you want to rotate.

I'm guessing MM won't be able to handle (import) videos with more recent encoding formats, but it will satisfy my teachers for another year at least. Movie Maker (MM) falls in to the category of simple yet intuitive, with enough features to create interesting video creations with just a few clicks.
